Canadian artist Kristina Pitcher Steinbring was born in Ontario, but spent her life traveling and spending time in various provinces from east to west. It is not surprising , then, that her oil paintings primarily focus on the beauty of the Canadian landscape and small town life. The last twenty years have been spent in Alberta, where the vast landscape and western subject matter has left her with a never ending supply of interesting scenes to paint.
Although primarily a self-taught artist, Kristina has taken advantage of numerous workshops, enhancing development as an artist under the instruction of great Canadian painters such as John Cooper, Beverly Bunker and David More. She cites her main artistic influences as Alex Colville and Edward Hopper.
Kristina is represented by:
Rowles and Company, Edmonton, Alberta
The Gallery on Main, Lacombe, Alberta
